    lead Pastor

    Tim is the Teaching and Lead pastor at Banwell Community Church and has been serving in ministry since 2004.  He is the primary communicator for our Sunday gatherings, is passionate about helping people discover Jesus and experience a relevant practical faith.  He and his wife, Laura, have two energetic kids, Sadie who is seven and Katie who is one.  More than anything else, their desire is to see the church lived out in culture creating a home for faith.

    director of christian education

    Marlee directs the Rock Solid Kids Ministry program from Nursery to Grade 5, the Adult Christian Education, and helps Pastor Alex with Small Groups at Banwell Community Church. She is a mom of two  girls, Kodi and Kyrn, and wife to Dave. She lives and works on her family farm and is the fifth generation to reside there. She’s been a member at Banwell Community Church since it was built and enjoys the welcoming and family-like atmosphere here. Marlee has a passion for family ministry. She enjoys seeing all ages sharing and learning about Jesus, together with some fun and fellowship thrown in too. Please feel free to contact her anytime.

  • Ian mcgregor smith

    minister of music

    Ian began his leadership of the Music Ministry in April 2007. Ian and his daughter Avonlea had been a part of the Banwell family for over a year prior to that, and when the Music Minister position became available, he felt instantly called to serve. He has previously ministered at the Community Missionary Church in Windsor (2003 - 2005) and has over 20 years of music industry experience as artist/performer, producer, composer, conductor, and music director. He carries two university degrees in music (Bachelor's of Music) and in teaching (Bachelor's of Education) from the University Of Windsor.

  • Debbie Ebel

    Administrative Assistant

    Debbie joined Banwell in September 2006 as our Administrative Assistant. She is a graduate of Seneca College, where she obtained her Bilingual Administrative Assistant Diploma. She also attended a year of a Bachelor of Religious Education program at Moody Bible Institute. Debbie and her husband Grant have four children - Rachel, Sarah, Tim and Nicholas, as well as two son-in-laws, Richard and Jonathan.  They also have one adorable granddaughter who brings them lots of joy.
